Inspired by Kojo Kamau, we are contributing to the photography archives by creating an 18-month calendar book.
The Community Through Our Lens Youth Art Challenge culminated in the creation of an 18-month calendar honoring the legacy of beloved artist Kojo Kamau and the iconic Long Street Cultural Wall as a historic landmark. At the heart of this project are photographs taken by Central Ohio students, capturing Columbus through their unique perspectives. This initiative highlights key historic landmarks in the city, encouraging students to explore and document Columbus’s rich history. By contributing their voices, the students have helped preserve and archive an important cultural narrative, celebrating both the city’s past and its vibrant future.
